Kings and Priests

Blog In Audio:

Greetings,

Today I am back in Bellingham. Spring is in the air, and I expect to see new life manifest in the world I live in. I am expecting in in the natural and I am expecting it in the Spirit. There are many new things about to happen in my world and I am expectant in my heart and mind.

Has your kingdom become a kingdom of your Lord and Christ? Each of us have been given a life to bring glory to our Father in heaven. That glory is made possible through the gift of God’s only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ. Jesus reconciled us to our heavenly Father so that we can live our lives in Spirit and Truth and fulfill our destiny in Christ. We are part of His calling, His inheritance, and His purpose in this world. We are children of God and together we are the family of God. We were looking for love in the wrong places because we were confused in our identity, testimony, and purpose. We were living for ourselves, but God had a bigger picture in His vision for our lives. He knew that each of our kingdoms were meant to be kingdoms of our Lord and Christ. We were born to live from the inside out and change the world around us by the life of God within.

Revelation 1:4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

It is through the resurrection of Jesus Christ that we have resurrection life in this world and in that which is to come. We were dead, but in Christ we have been made eternally alive! We are kings of the earth, but it is through Christ that we can reign in our worlds for the glory of Jesus name. We were bound to our sin, but Jesus loved us and washed us to make us holy and acceptable as living sacrifices to our God. We are kings and priests to God His Father and ours. It is now and forever! It is true and it is increasingly true. Have you seen Him? I have seen Him? I live to see Him again today! When I see Him, I become like Him. The more I see Him, the more I become like Him in my character, nature, way, power, and authority. The truth of who are is only found in Christ.

As priests we stand as intercessors before our God, and we fill the gap of heaven and earth. With one foot upon the earth and the other in heaven, we draw all that is in heaven into our earthly place of standing. We live as temples of God’s Holy Spirit for His holy purpose and will. We are a place of His holy habitation in the nations of men. As kings we reign in life by the power of God’s grace. The manifest presence of the sevenfold perfecting Spirit of God empowers us to overcome all things. We overcome the temptation to be governed by the influence of external forces. The kingdom of God is within us. Observations of worldly events don’t determine our path.

Luke 17:20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Our path in life is determined by the kingdom of God in our hearts. We have righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17  for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Our righteousness is an internal connection to the One who is good through the One who is good. God gives us life from the inside out. Our peace is an internal eternal connection to the One who breaths the expressions of heavenly life through the very being of who we are. God gives us breath. He is the Word, but we are His voice. Our joy is an internal reality of a partnership with God in all things. He gives all things, and all things of our lives are expressions of His eternal purpose to our world for His glory. We live our lives from the inside out! In Him we live, in Him we move, and in Him we have our being. We don’t need to be easily shaken. We are kings and priests unto our God!

Blessings,

Ted J. Hanson
