I hope you are all well today. I know that a lot of you are in the midst of a time of inconvenience and challenge with the present situation of the Corona virus. My encouragement to us all today is to keep our focus right. We must keep our focus on God in all things. Rejoice always, never stop your face-to-face connection God, and thank God that He is with you in all things. Keep a life-giving attitude and perspective and allow the life of God’s Sprit to flow through you. See what God sees and declare that! Cling to God and hold on to all that is good. That is enough in every situation!

I believe that we are in the midst of becoming the People of God in the earth. Not all people are the people of God, but God is God of all people, whether they believe in Him or not. He is for all people, but not all people are for Him. What is it that makes us A PEOPLE? We can be people of self, people of the world, people of perversion, people of the earth or people of whatever gives us our identity, testimony, and purpose in life. To be the People of God, we must find our identity, testimony, and purpose in Him. Whatever we’re looking at is what we’re going to look like. Whatever we are looking at is going to be what gives us our identity, testimony, and purpose in life.

Ephesians 1:15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

In this prayer, Paul is praying that the people of Ephesus would find their identity, testimony, and purpose in Christ. The purpose of this is to bring the influence of Christ to the world in a life-transforming way. It is to transform the influence of principalities, powers, might, dominions, and names by the greater power of life that comes by Jesus name. That name is the manifest character, nature, way, power, and authority of all that He is. This is the power of His name. It is to bring the supernatural influence of God to the spiritual manipulated natural realities of the world. Paul knows that this can only happen by them being given a spirit of wisdom and a spirit of revelation through a knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord in their lives. To be the People of God in the earth we have to see Jesus as Lord and Christ in our lives. We have to be supernaturally influenced through knowing Him in a way that inspires His heavenly wisdom and revelation in a world bound to self-seeking wisdom and deceptions inspired by influences of spirits that seek to destroy our true identity, testimony, and purpose in life. Our calling is the beckoning of our true identity. Inheritances is our testimony that leads to a legacy of life for the family name. Our purpose is made known though the power working in and through our lives. These things will manifest through whatever has our attention in life, but only the authority that comes by Jesus name can fulfill these things in truth. Whatever we are in awe of is going to give us our identity. If we are in awe of something other than Jesus, we will fall short of discovering truth in these things. How do we know we are in awe of something or someone? We know we are in awe of something or someone when we want to become like what we are in awe of. What we are in awe of captures the attention of our hearts. It captures the thoughts of our minds. It captures the focus of our lives. Human calling is not found in ourselves, but in Christ. Human testimony is not found in ourselves, but in Christ. Human purpose is not found in ourselves, but in Christ. We are called to be the likeness and the image of God in the earth. This cannot happen if we are in awe of some created thing.

In a picture-perfect world, little children are supposed to be in awe of their parents and their grandparents. This is not so they will be in awe of a created being, but so they will find their identity in someone they can see that exhibits the likeness and the image of God. I realize that our dysfunctional world has been created by dysfunctional families and that parents are not always the model of life for their children, but this is how God desires it to be. For this to happen parents should be in awe of God, so they look like Christ. Parents should raise their children to be in awe of God also, as quickly as possible in their upbringing. They should raise their children to hear God and respond to His voice in all things. God’s family is a culture of children, fathers, and sons.

1 John 2:12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. 13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.

To be the People of God, we must be in awe of God in all things. Jesus must be the center of our lives in all things. We must know His love, seek to become a testimony of His love, and live to fulfill the purpose of His love in all things.

It was a blessed week and great to be home with family and back in connection with my ALife church family. I had a great kickoff on an eight-week series on Authority. I was able to complete the editing on the course I recorded in Portugal as well. Yesterday we had a great time in church and Pastor Jonathan gave us a great word concerning embracing the removal of the veil in every area of our lives that hinders us from having a face-to-face relationship with God.

I want to continue today with some further thoughts on the law of harvest. As believers in Christ we need to understand the principle of harvest and we should commit our lives to living for the harvest set before us. I believe the law of harvest to be the highest law, the fullest boundary, and the greatest liberty of the kingdom. It is the place where the end determines a beginning. It is where life mandates relationship. It is the place of seeing what God sees for our lives and embracing a partnership with Him in all things to see the purpose of our lives fulfilled in Christ. Harvest is the place where hope beckons life-giving decisions. A vision of the harvest mandates the actions of the process to that harvest. It is essential that we understand the character, nature, way, power, and authority of the Author of the harvest if we are going to walk out the daily steps of the process of that harvest. God is the one who gives the harvest for He is the Creator, the Supplier, and the Finisher of all things. To attempt to walk out the steps to the harvest by any other way than the way of God will produce results that are less than and perverted from the destiny of true harvest. The law of harvest requires the service of the law of sowing and reaping. The law of harvest must be approached by accessing the divine laws of order. We are not under laws; laws are under us. They serve us as we walk in the character, nature, way, power, and authority of Christ. Those laws can be seen as principals, patterns, or values in our lives. They are the testimony of the right path to culmination and harvest. The path to harvest includes sowing, cultivating, watering, managing, inventing, creating, and many other aspects of empowering the harvest determined in our lives. False things must be removed, and true things must be cultivated in order to attain the goal of the completed fruit. The end result of God’s harvest is always food for others and seed for future generations. God wants our lives to be like trees. We must branch out to become sources of fruit providing the strength, energy, and growth of life for others. The fruit of our lives should create heavenly places in our world that offer a touch of healing for the hope of the generations to come. I believe this is true for every harvest. Even when working a simple job or accomplishing menial tasks, the harvest must be within the environment of our endeavors in order to produce life beyond ourselves. The harvest can never be simply to pay our bills or meet our own personal needs. That kind of harvest is only eaten with a bitter stomach and carries the forever disappointing news of never having enough. The harvest that God has for us involves the vision that God has for the world because of us.

We often think of harvest in terms of thousands and abundance beyond our wildest dreams, but what if our harvest is to cause just a few to think as thousands and to see themselves beyond their wildest dreams. To cause one life to become the fullest life that lives to give life to others would propagate a harvest that would ultimately change the world. Blessing produces blessing, multiplying propagates multiplying, possessing secures possessing, and the influence of life fills life with life.

The harvest of my marriage is a ripe old age with my wife that has treasures of memories, discoveries, and values attained together. But more than these the harvest of Bonnie and I together is for our children and our children’s children to have the inherited substance of family life and abundance that becomes a treasure that multiplies to the generations to come. How many dreams came to pass because of us? That is a true question of harvest. How did the character, nature, way, power, and authority of God expand in the lives of those who came out from us? That is a question of harvest.

Today I am heading home after being on the road for almost a month. God did some great things in Africa, Madeira Island, and Portugal. I completed another training course in Portuguese and found that God is speaking and moving in Portugal in similar ways as in other parts of the world. There is a stirring for an awe of God and an awe of His presence. Now I am ready to return home and be with my family and church community in Bellingham.

The purpose of our lives is harvest. There are many aspects to the harvest of our lives. Harvest is not just something that happens at the end of our lives. There are many seasons and categories of harvest in our lives. Our lives should end in a maturation and culmination of the testimony of life that we have lived for the sake of our world. We must believe what God says, stand fast on His words, and be diligent to apply ourselves in the process of His promises in our lives. We don’t just wait for God to do something in our lives. We have to embrace how things are in heaven to see the increase of heaven’s influence in our lives. Let’s think about Biblical meditation a minute. Meditation in the world is a process of emptying one’s mind of everything to receive some form of serenity. Biblical meditation is to fill our thoughts with all this is of God in order to see the character, nature, way, power, and authority of God birthed within our hearts and souls. We choose to look at what God says and what He is like in order to receive a transformation by the metamorphosis of our minds. It is a principle of the law of harvest. We choose to see how it is in heaven and then we submit the lesser laws of our thoughts and lives in order to reap that heavenly harvest in our lives. As human beings with Christ in us, we must understand this principle well.

God determines the harvest before He determines the sowing. Our eyes have not seen, our ears haven’t heard, and our thoughts haven’t thought of the things He has prepared for us; but He has revealed it all to us by the Spirit (1 Cor. 2:9, 10). This is the law of harvest. We know the end in our spirits before we can even know the beginning in our minds. We must choose to submit to this greater law of harvest in everything we do. I hope that I am challenging your thoughts. I am not attempting to answer all the questions or explain all of the details of the law of harvest today. I am simply seeking to provoke you to think according to a greater calling, purpose, and destiny.

God has determined an end, but we must start with a beginning. We must never despise the day of small beginnings, because great destiny requires many small beginnings. When we think small beginnings, God thinks harvest.

Isaiah 46:9, 10 Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,’

The law of harvest demands that we sow seed in order to reap a crop, but we must see the crop in a spiritual realty before we can choose to labor in the natural. We must see where they are going in the Spirit before we see it in the natural harvest fields of life. The labor of lives must be towards a spiritual goal seen in heaven. Not everything that we sow is purposed by God for us to reap, but everything that God has purposed for us to reap requires us to sow. We don’t sow to reap. We sow because we see the harvest. Ishmael was a result of the law of sowing and reaping while Isaac was the result of the law of harvest. We don’t sow seed because we want to see a harvest. We see a harvest, so we sow seed. As children of God’s inheritance, we must live their lives by the vision of a heavenly harvest. What God says, we can do. What God makes known in heaven, we can receive here on earth. We must be men and women of faith who lead our children and grandchildren to become the same. We see the harvest, so we sow seed. Blindly sowing seed is seed sown from unbelief. We must live for the harvest!

Today I am back in Portugal after several days on Madeira Island, a Portuguese Island to the west coast of Northern Africa. It was great to be with Pastor Francisco Ribeiro and the congregation of Casa da Familia Porto Santo. It was great to activate the prophetic Spirit of Christ and to see God touch people with His life and power of healing grace. The Portuguese people are surely a blessing in my life and part of the divine call and purpose in my life. Thank you Medeira, Island for you welcome and love.

We must live our lives with a focus of being diligent in seeing the harvest of our lives fulfilled for the sake of our world and the world beyond our lifetime. To be diligent is to be hard-working and industrious. We cannot earn our way to salvation, but the salvation given to us by God in Christ is a salvation of grace whereby we can be empowered to work hard in all things. Diligence is working hard with careful effort. Being diligent involves obtaining the ability to work steady for an objective in life.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

As believers in Christ we must embrace being a part of the family of God for a corporate purpose that is greater than what we can be alone. Because of this, we must understand what I call the law of harvest. I believe this is a spiritual law and it is determined in heaven and its benefits are seen in the earth. The lesser laws of first fruits, first things, sowing and reaping, gravity, density, and numerous laws of physics all serve this law of harvest. When we pray, “Let Your kingdom come, Let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”, we are praying according to the law of harvest. Harvest is how it is in heaven. Leaders must see things as they are in heaven in order to lead earthly people into heavenly realities. God wants for us to live our lives by the law of harvest, but most people choose to live their lives by the lesser laws. Most Christians think that living their lives by the law of sowing and reaping is the way to go. No true farmer lives by the law of sowing and reaping. A true farmer lives by the law of harvest and knows that he will have to also choose the law of sowing and reaping to serve the greater law of harvest. No farmer simply scatters seeds and hopes to get a crop. He determines what crop he wants long before he sows the seed. As believers in Christ, we must do likewise in our own roles in being a part of the fields of Christ’s harvest. A farmer makes a determination in his heart and mind as to what the market demands, how many acres are needed, how much seed is needed, what soil conditions are required, what growing care must be provided, and many other things before he even puts a seed in the ground. The law of harvest demands the service of the lesser laws of nature. The law of sowing and reaping might mathematically say that 1+1=2, but the law of harvest says that if you want 2 you must get 1+ another 1. The law of harvest sees 2 before it demands 1. That is a bit simple, but it is a way of describing the law of harvest in mathematics.

Leaders must think thoughts of harvest, not merely ones of sowing. This should inspire every believer to do the same. God has purposed for everything to end in harvest (Mt. 13:39). The end of every age is culminated in harvest. Everything about every age must serve the purpose of the culmination of that age. It must serve harvest. Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him. He didn’t just blindly hope everything would work out. He saw a harvest and then did everything to accomplish that end. He was willing to embrace the suffering of the cross for the great harvest that would follow. It is a kingdom principle and a spiritual law of heaven.

Wow! What a fruitful week in Angola. I have been with many hungry, willing, teachable pastors, men and women who want to embrace being a part of the family tree of life in Christ. I am believing for God’s full harvest here among His people in Angola. Thank you to all who are seeking the kingdom of God to become expressions of His life here. I preached in many churches, taught Ministering From The Tree of Life in various forms of seminars, spoke on the radio, ordained several pastors, and experienced life with my Angolan family. Tonight I head to Portugal and then to Madeira Island for a week of prophetic training, activation and also healing and miracles. I am expecting God to do wonderful things.

The journey of our lives is a journey of fulfilling the harvest of our lives. The harvest of our lives is about what of us gives life to our world. Metaphorically speaking, we should establish ceilings that become foundations for further increase in the next generation. We must make this our aim in life. It doesn’t just happen. We have to be determined for it to happen. As I have said, determination includes strategy, measure, and counting the cost. Harvest isn’t just a season in the year, it is the fruit of every step, every action, and every aim of the year. The law of harvest includes the lesser laws of sowing and reaping, diligence and prosperity, watering, tilling, sharpening, and many other things that serve the fulfillment of harvest in our lives.

Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

Forsaking all to be a disciple of Christ is not about forsaking things, it is about attaching to Christ in all things. It is not a matter of hating our father and mother, but one of loving God the most in all things. We cannot be distracted from our connection with God in all things to fulfill the purpose of our lives. We must be determined to fulfill our harvest and we must embrace every part of that process. To ‘determine’ is to make up one’s mind very firmly. It means to come to a decision; to resolve that something is true. Determination is a resolve to come to an end in a matter. It involves reaching a specific goal or target. Our goal and target must be the harvest of our lives. We must be determined for a harvest. If we don’t believe there is a harvest, we won’t be determined to get there. We must be disciplined for a harvest. Discipline is a trained condition of order and obedience.

Our actions will follow our beliefs. Discipline is a system of rules for conduct. It is an organized revelation of boundaries. Our lives must manifest a code of conduct that acts toward a harvest! Our methods of rule for regulating the conduct of our lives should be aimed towards the purpose of harvest. We must be disciplined for a harvest. Our discipline is not a discipline of the flesh, but an indulgence in the Spirit. We must embrace, and fully depend upon the grace that comes to us in Christ to fulfill our purpose in Him. The first exercise is to believe the voice of God within our hearts, respond to His voice, see what He sees, and receive His strategy to walk the path in all that He says. We cannot be lazy. We must stir our spirits with God’s Holy Spirit, allow our spirits to flood our souls, and passionately apply our thoughts, reasoning, imagination, emotions, and desires to put actions to work for the glory of all God brings out from within us. Our attitudes, thoughts, and actions must be responsive to the word of God within our hearts. Our hearing God with inspire faith and that faith will be demonstrated through the works of our lives.

Today I am in Angola, Africa. I have been here since Friday morning and God is already doing great things. We had a full day of training and ministry on Saturday. Our theme is ministering from the tree of Life. We are no longer bound to the meaningless destiny of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but we are part of the perpetuity of the tree of life for the nations of the world. Yesterday was a great day with a radio broadcast and ministry in a couple of places that were filled with hungry, willing, and teachable disciples of Christ. God is alive in the nations of men! Let your glory rise, Lord!

We were not only born to be loved by God, we were also born to live our lives as an influencing testimony of God’s grace and the power of His love working through us to the world around us. We were born to find our true identity, testimony, and purpose in Christ. When Joshua was about to enter the Promised Land, he encountered the Commander of the army of the Lord. He encountered a manifestation of Christ in the flesh. Like Joshua, we must know that life is not about us nor is about our enemies. Life is about Christ. He is the beginning and the fulfillment of all things. Our lives are meant to be lived for the Glory of God. God’s glory is not for us, it is His glory revealed in and through our lives for His great name!

Joshua 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?” 14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” 15 Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.   

The harvest of our lives is to be the full testimony of the summing up of our lives for the glory of our Father in heaven. Our lives are not on a path to demise, but a path leading to the glory of God in all things.

Matthew 13:39 …the harvest is the end of the age… Age = “aion” – an age; perpetuity.

The destiny of every age, the destiny of every generation, the destiny of every person, and the destiny of every creation of God is harvest. The end of the age is not the end of the world. In its foundation, it is the end of the age of law and conscience because of the increasing glory of the working power of God’s grace and truth at work in the lives of men. It is also the end of the age of our lives. It is the end of every age! The end of every age is to be the harvest of that age. That harvest is for the glory of God, not the glory of man. We are for Him; He is not for us. We are to be His likeness and image; He is not to be conformed to us. He became one of us as Jesus Christ in the flesh so we could discover who we are for the glory of God in all things.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

We must be determined to live in the purpose of harvest. To have determination is to possess a great firmness in carrying out a purpose. We must be fixed in our purpose. Without a focus of moving forward we will be stuck in the past or bound to some present reality. We must press on towards the prize that is in front of us. That prize is the increasing influence and fruit of heaven’s grace in heaven and upon the earth. Determination includes strategy, measure, and counting of the cost

We had an awesome morning at ALife yesterday! Holy Spirit was manifest in, through, and with us as a church community. Thank you God, for the power of Jesus name in our midst. Thank you to all who filled various roles in being the family of God. Surely God rests in our lives!

God doesn’t want to tell us how to act. He wants us to be inspired from our hearts to act like His children without being told. When a dad or mom tells their children to do something, they aren’t interested in merely getting their children to obey. It isn’t about picking up their clothes, cleaning their room, or some kind action on their part because of some command given to them.  A parent doesn’t want to tell their children to do things. They want their children to learn to do things that are in the character of the family. God wants to inspire us to spontaneously act the way children of God act. Our actions are merely a testimony of the character of the family. That is the kind of family we are. We are God’s family. True offerings are a testimony of being and living in the character of God. It is a testimony of giving life in all things. God doesn’t want us to live as individuals for our own personal wills, He wants us to know that we are the family of God. We are a family, not orphans. Our destiny is to live with and for a corporate testimony of the family of God being able to influence the world around us more together than we can by ourselves. The storehouse of God is for the food of God and the food of God is to do the will of God in all things. As I have written, tithe is a level of relationship that testifies of a right response to the One who grants us substance from heaven that empowers us to become who we are meant to be upon the earth. That tithe is something of the substance our lives that we give to the place of God’s presence in the earth. It is meant to be the substance of our thoughts, actions, attitudes, and possessions – both natural and spirit. Our response to God is a judgment of love given in the direction of the One who first loves us. Our offerings are something of our thoughts, actions, attitudes, and possessions expressed in various measures and testimonies of our relationship with God and one another as sons and daughters of God in the earth. The Holy Spirit has come into our lives so that we will not only believe whom our heavenly Father is, but we will also believe who we are in Christ. This is not just true for us as individuals, but for community expressions of individuals joined together for a greater identity, testimony, and purpose than we can accomplish alone. As we respond to God in our midst, His presence fills us up from heaven within our hearts and those blessings overflow with heavenly influences flowing from our lives. It is His presence in our lives, but it requires a response from us as God’s children. We respond to the gift of the Holy Spirit (the Messenger) with the substance of our hearts and lives. The Holy Spirit has come to establish an open heaven in our lives so that the blessings of God will overflow from our lives to the world around us. God’s manifest presence has come into our hearts and He is overflowing with the blessings of heaven.

We must understand and live in destiny. Our path of destiny is not a path of solitary footsteps. It is a path that is joined to, and walks with, others for God’s purpose in our lives. When we finish our race of life, our world should have been impacted by our footsteps as we journeyed through life. To destine is to set someone apart for a purpose or a use. Destiny is what becomes of a person or a thing in the end. In the kingdom of God, the end is in the process. We cannot think like the world and fulfill the destiny of Christ in our lives. We must live for God’s will and purpose in our lives in all things.

Romans 12:2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We must live for the purpose of God’s harvest in our lives. We are destined for a harvest and that harvest is a testimony of our connection with one another as the family of God in this world. People in the world live for their own personal pleasure, success, or personal purpose in some way. That kind of harvest cannot produce the generational inheritance of life that God desires in the earth. Our harvest has a greater purpose than living for our own glory. Our harvest is meant to be for the glory of our Father in heaven. Harvest is the end of every age! We are destined for a harvest and that harvest is bigger than us alone. We are part of something great together and it is God’s will for us to live for a corporate influence of life to the world around us.

Today I am home in Bellingham. It was good to be home with my home church after being gone for a couple of weeks. Pastor Jonathan gave us further insight into conversion and the need to let go of the expectations of the past for an expectancy of God today. Giving your shame to God, produces a changed mind and perspective that leads to wholeness, an unhindered connection to Jesus. We need to live in a face-to-face relationship with Jesus each and every day.

Through Jesus Christ we have been given the gift of Holy Spirit in our lives. His manifest presence in our lives is the testimony of Christ in us, the hope of glory. He is the internal Messenger that transforms our lives to become an expression of God’s message to our world. God is the word, but we are expressions of His word in bodily form as sons and daughters of God each uniquely revealing the likeness and the image of God to our world. God in the form of Holy Spirit is the internal connection with Jesus and God our Father. Holy Spirit empowers our spirits to cry out to God, Abba Father! We are sons and daughters of God and God has always desired that we would know the reality of who we really are. It is only by being sons and daughters of God that we can truly know who God is. He is not merely a God of great power; He is a loving Father that gives us our true identity to fulfill our true purpose in life. It is only by the internal knowing of Holy Spirit in our lives that we can experience that true passion and purpose of being sons and daughters of God.

Malachi 3:8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.”

These verses reveal the downfall of living as Old Covenant servants, not fully connected to God in our hearts. Tithes and offers cannot make us sons and daughters of God but being sons and daughters of God is the only thing that empower true tithes and offerings to God. I’m not just talking about money. I am talking about the giving of the substance of our lives. Tithe is a right response to God and true offerings are acting as God acts in all things. These are merely actions that demonstrate the fruit of our hearts connected to God. These are really a testimony of becoming like God in our character, nature, way, power, and authority. These things are really about learning to be like God. God doesn’t want us to do things for Him; He wants us to be people who act like Him. Holy Spirit is in our lives to restore the testimony of the family of God in the earth.

The first mentions of tithes were in the life of Abram and later in the life of Jacob. In both cases, tithe was an action done as a response to God giving something on His part to Abram or to Jacob. In the life of Abram, his tithe was a response to God’s gifts of bread and wine in his life. The One who would transform him to become Abraham gave him heavenly bread and heavenly wine as a testimony of the substance that would prove to be the food for the substance of who Abram would become. Abram responded to God by giving him a tenth, a tithe, of what he had in his possession at the time. In the life of Jacob, his experience of seeing his own life with full access to all that God is and all that God has as being the gate of heaven in the earth invoked a response to God on his part.

What is the significance of the tithe, or a tenth? The number 10 is a symbolism of a judgment of love, as in 10 commandments express a love for God and love for others. It is a symbolism that involves action, but it is a level of relationship that can only be expressed in a place of corporate connection. It can only be expressed in the place of God’s house upon the earth. It must be expressed to the place of God’s standing pillar upon the earth, because it is a response to the calling, the inheritance, and the purpose of God in the earth. It has nothing to do with law. No law was written at the time of Abram and Jacob in history. No Torah was written yet. No ten commandments were etched in stone. These things had not been expressed in written form upon the earth, but only existed in the truth of creation. These tithe responses had nothing to do with any commandment. It had nothing to do with any sacrifice. It had nothing to do with any offering. Both Abram and Jacob’s actions were fully and completely based upon a revelation of being a place in the earth that is the entrance of heavenly blessings from the possessor of heaven and earth. It was a confirmation that the place that Jacob found himself in was the gate of heaven. It was in this place that the influence of heaven was given access to the earth. Both Abram and Jacob’s actions presented a testimony of revelation from their hearts in knowing who God is and who they were destined to be because of God in their lives. If these things were true in the shadow of that which was in the Old Covenant, how much more are these things true by the power of the Holy Spirit within us in the New?

Today I am heading back to Bellingham after a great week and another great weekend. I was blessed to spend several days in South Texas with some pastor friends and some other men of God’s kingdom for a time of fellowship, hunting, and an experience of life. God was good, the brothers were a blessing, and we were successful in the fruits of our labors for some good stories and some good eats. On the weekend I was with Life Church in Bryan-College Station, Texas. We had a good time experiencing God’s prophetic voice and saw God touch His people to empower them in His presence and nearness to hear His voice. God is good! I believe that 2020 is the beginning of a season of clearer vision and authenticity in our becoming the people of God.

Jesus made a way for the Messenger, the Holy Spirit, to come into our lives so that we can become the message of God’s transforming grace in this world. God is the word, but we are His voice. He is the expressor, but we are an expression of Him in the identity, testimony, and purpose of our lives. The Prophet Malachi foretold of the power of God’s transforming grace that would come into our lives.

Malachi 3:2 “But who can endure the day of His coming? and who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.”

This is not a thing of devastation, but something of the power of God’s grace. The Holy Spirit in our lives refines us to become as we are meant to be in this world. He washes away the stains of carnality in our lives – He washes away the stains of sin. He transforms our ways from within so that the ways of our lives become the way of Christ. Jesus blood of mercy justified us to live, but the life-transforming power of His grace empowers us to live in every way according to what God intended our lives to be. We are becoming an offering of righteousness to God by the power of His grace working in our lives.

Malachi 3:4 “Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to the Lord, as in the days of old, as in former years. 5 And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien—because they do not fear Me,” Says the Lord of hosts.

Sorcery is to look to illegitimate life sources in an attempt to find life or the path to our future. It is sorcery to look for direction in any other thing than the Creator. For creation to seek the creative path of the future in anyone or anything other than our heavenly Father, is sorcery. To be submerged in creation in an attempt to find the testimony of our true creation will always end up is something less than true life. It is adultery to look to anyone or anything other than God as a source of covenant in our lives. God’s will is first and last in all things. We cannot just desire a means of blessing, but we must desire the only One who can truly make us the blessing we are called and destined to be for the sake of others. To desire any truth beyond the truth of who God is, and who we are in Him, is to choose perjury over true dominion of life. We cannot boast and lie against the truth and think that we will manifest truth in and with our lives. We must be givers of life and not takers. To take advantage of others for our own personal gain will only cut our true destiny short.

Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. 7 Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the Lord of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’

God made a way for us to return to Him and be transformed in the ways of our lives. God is merciful, therefore, He did not consume us. He made it possible for those who seek Him to come to Him, to find Him, and be forever changed! He is our source of life and direction in every way!

Today I am in Deming, New Mexico. We have had several days of great meetings and a time of the prophetic and refreshing presence of God. God is manifesting the unshakable presence of who He is in our midst. I am very encouraged with what I sense and see emerging in the body of Christ. We are in a blessed season as the church and we can expect to see His kingdom rising in our midst as we see His presence in our hearts!

God wants us to know who He is and He wants to give us an internal revelation of who we are in Him.  When we know we were born of Him, we know we are His children. When we know we are His children, we know He is our Father. When we know He is our Father, we know we are His family and it is only then we can discover our true identity, testimony, and purpose in life. He doesn’t want us to serve Him, He was us to know we are His sons and daughters and it is an internal revelation of Him in our hearts that empowers the actions of our lives to be acts that serve Him in honor and passionate love! The last prophetic words of the prophet Malachi in the Old Covenant spoke of the promised Messenger who would come and make us a true message of God in all things. In the life of Jesus, God become flesh so all flesh could become children of God. The word became flesh so all flesh could become an expression of God’s word! Jesus came to put the true Spirit of life within our hearts, the Holy Spirit who works internally to refine us as sons and daughters of God. His work within us empowers us to spill over with external expressions of true holiness to the Lord. The Prophet Malachi declared God’s desire in this.

Malachi 3:17 “They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”

The gift given to us in Christ through the life of Jesus is about the testimony of the family name. He loves us, but He wants to make us a testimony of Him as His treasures in the earth. He wants to make us testimonies of His love – testimonies that show His love in our world. It is about revealing God as a Father. Not a Father because we love Him, but a Father because He loves us, and He gives us His inheritance. His is the One who cares for us, is there for us, and fights for us in all things. He gives us His character, nature, way, power, and authority in all things. This is an internal gift that manifest in external ways in our lives. As this happens it will be clear who is righteous and who is wicked. Righteousness is not defined by self-sufficiency. It is defined by a right relationship with God and man.

Malachi 3:18 Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

It will be clear who seeks God as Father and who seeks themselves. It will be clear who merely seeks to be blessed by God and who seeks to become the blessing of God in the earth. It will be clear who wants God to be the God of the people and who wants to become known as the people of God. The Messenger, the Holy Spirit, is the power of Christ in us that can change our world by changing the testimony and fruit of our lives. He is like a refiner’s fire and a fuller’s soap in our lives. It is through the power of becoming who we are destined to be in Christ that we will manifest the purpose of Christ in all things. The harvest of our lives is not meant to be a crop of our own ways, but a harvest of God’s ways made known though our lives. This is the power of our hearts turning to the Father and it reveals the testimony that the Father’s heart has always been towards us. It is by this internal knowing of Him that we grow to maturity and become fathers and mothers to the generations of humanity beyond our own lives.

Malachi 3:1 “Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.

The messenger is not merely the life of Jesus to get us into heaven. It is not a messenger that gets us to come to some spiritual location. It is the messenger that comes into our hearts and lives, even as the Holy Spirit of God was in the life of Jesus Christ as a man upon the earth. It is the internal messenger that causes us to be the message of Christ in the flesh. It is the internal messenger that causes us to manifest as the true temple of God in the earth. The Holy Spirit in our hearts is the Messenger of the covenant that causes us to manifest as sons and daughters of God as Jesus was both the Son of Man and the Son of God in the flesh. It is time for the habitation of God in the earth and not merely another visitation. We need more than a revival. We need to be revived by God within our lives!
