Not As It Appears

Blog In Audio:

Greetings,

Today I am posting a transcript of some things that came to me during a recent corporate prayer time at Alife church. I feel that this word, prophetic inclination, and prayer is relevant for us in this season and time. It is true for all in America and it is true for those of you in other nations of the world in this present season. We are in a time of spiritual warfare, but we are also in a time of great purpose and destiny in Christ.

I heard the Lord say to BE AWAKE and expect Him TO MAKE even the things that look like A MISTAKE or the things that the enemy decided TO TAKE, that God is going to rectify it and DO A RETAKE. I hear God just stirring to say that things as they appear in your own life, or things that seem as they appear in the nations are not as they appear.

God directed me to 2 Kings chapter 6 when Elisha was at Dothan and he was giving the secrets of what the Syrian army was doing, he was telling it to Israel and so the Syrian army, the Syrian king, came to get Elisha at Dothan.

2 Kings 6:14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.

So, the enemy works in darkness, but God works in light!

2 Kings 6:15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”( What shall we do?) 16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

I pray right now wherever the enemy is trying to have victory in the lives of Your people, God; that you will strike them with blindness that they wouldn’t be able to see clearly.

2 Kings 6:19 Now Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” But he led them to Samaria. 20 So it was, when they had come to Samaria, that Elisha said, “LORD, open the eyes of these men (the Syrians), that they may see.” And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were, inside Samaria! 21 Now when the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha, “My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?” 22 But he answered, “You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set food and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.” 23 Then he prepared a great feast for them; and after they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syrian raiders came no more into the land of Israel.

I just hear God saying that His plans are greater than our plans, that there are more who are with us than those who are with those who are against us. Whether that’s in our own individual life or in the life of the church or even in our nation. That there are more with us than those who are with those who are against us. And that God has given us the ability to see by the Spirit what the natural eye cannot see. So, be awake, and watch God make, because God can rectify any mistake. He can take what the enemy intended for evil and He can cause it for good. But the end result will not be weapons of the flesh, the end result will be weapons of the Spirit, of the promise of God, the bow, and the word of God, the sword, that causes there to be great blessings as the result of our standing. He’s able to do exceedingly above and beyond all that we can ask or think and so what He’s doing in our life is not only going to be provision for us; it’s going to be provision for our enemies and cause our enemies either to be so afraid they won’t come again or cause our enemies to be so blessed they’ll never be an enemy again.

So Father I pray that that would come to pass, whatever you’re doing. I pray that You would open up the eyes of our hearts to see, that we would be awake and that we would see that You are able to make, that You are able to take any mistake or any place where the thief decided to take, and You can cause it to be rectified and You can cause it to have a retake. That You will cause the outcome, the end result, to be life and life abundant. That our weapons of warfare are not carnal, but they’re mighty in God. We thank You that You are fighting the battle of life and that the end of this story, even this year is going to be greater life not only for us but greater life because the enemy has found themselves in a place they didn’t expect to find themselves and it either causes them to never return or it causes them to never again be an enemy. I pray that for us individually, I pray that for the church, I pray that for our nation, for the earth right now, Father –  in Jesus name.

Elisha was in Dothan. Dothan means wells. We must stay in the place of wells, the place of the life of God in our spirits. We must see what God is doing in the Spirit and we cannot be distracted by the flesh. God has not called us to wield weapons of death, but to exercise weapons of life. It is a time for sight for God’s people, blindness to those who will be deceived, but blessing for all because of the greatness of God. We must hold fast to all that God says – the sword. We must believe the covenant promises of God – the bow. If we hold on to God’s words in and through our lives and if we hold on to the promises of God in our lives we can expect great blessings in our world by the Spirit of God’s grace!

Blessings,

Ted J. Hanson

Amen! Thank you! I have one question: Why did you call the bow, the promise of God’s Word?
Thank you! Warmest regards from Portugal!
